“The tailored shape was inspired by a lampshade I saw on a trip to Majorca,” designer Carson Kressley explains. “It has a glamorous 1940s feel – very fashion-focused and bespoke.” Meticulously hand crafted in the USA, the structured box pleats are made of off-white linen blend set over a styrene inner shade. The skills to create this extraordinary shade are so rare, we had to entice an expert artisan out of retirement to teach us how to make it.
