By nature, natural fiber rugs can be abrasive, especially to wood floors, and should always be used with a rug pad (sold separately). Natural fiber rugs are not recommended for high-traffic or moisture-prone spaces. Use of rug pad is recommended, remove spills immediately by blotting with clean dye free cloth dampened in cool clean water. If you live in a place where moisture seeps into your home easily, a natural fiber rug may not be for you. Because they are made of dried plant fibers, excessive moisture could lead to mildew and mold. We don’t recommend natural fiber rugs for a bathroom or any space with lots of moisture.
